Individual therapy for adults, in-person in Denver or online anywhere in Colorado.
The areas I work in most, each with its own page.
Trauma that built up over time, and trauma from a specific event. What each one looks like and how the work differs.
Outpatient work on alcohol and substance use, chronic relapse, and the patterns underneath them.
For people who know what everyone in the room needs and go blank when asked what they want.
Practical tools for the symptoms, plus a real look at what keeps driving them back.
Sudden loss, anticipatory grief, and the losses nobody sends condolences for.
Individual therapy about what the anger is doing. Not a class, and not court-ordered.
The approach itself, and the practical side of getting started.
Mostly it's talk therapy. Psychodynamic and IFS underneath, with CBT, ACT, and somatic work where they help.
What EMDR is, what a session actually involves, and how to tell whether it's a fit for you.
The ten plans I'm in-network with, the private-pay rate, and what to ask your insurer.
PTSD usually traces back to a specific event. Complex PTSD tends to come from prolonged or repeated exposure, often starting early in life, and it doesn't always look like flashbacks. More often it looks like a harsh inner critic, trouble trusting people, and a shaky sense of who you are underneath it all.
My approach is rooted in traditional talk therapy: a strong clinical relationship, paired with specific tools and modalities where they're useful. The goal isn't just managing symptoms; it's helping you meet yourself with less shame and more steadiness, so the rest of your life has more room to move.
I bring these in when they're useful for what you're working through, not as a fixed protocol every client goes through. Psychodynamic work and Internal Family Systems shape most of how I think; the rest show up where they help.
$140 per session for private pay. I'm in-network with ten plans, including Kaiser, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
